Camden Market

If I had known that the Camden Market draws an average of 100,000 visitors every weekend, I would have avoided the place at all costs. Unfortunately for me I stumbled into Camden on a Sunday afternoon after a looong trek across what seemed to be eternity, so it was either brave the freakin’ crowds! or trek home with tail between legs for me. Sophie’s choice, story of my life.

Of course I understood the appeal of Camden, what’s not to like about all things vintage, or kitsch (I mean this in the cutest sense possible), or having more types of cuisine offered than you can imagine? Oh yeah, the crowds that it draws. And boy do I HATE squeezing and shoving and people blocking my way and losing sight of Z in swarms of people a good foot taller than me on average. As you can tell I’m still very bitter about my Camden experience. I still think of it as a great place to explore, but next time I’d steer clear of the weekends.
